How we handle what you share

We collect only what you type into a form on this site. That means nomination details (the nominee’s name, role, organization, contact links, and the story you tell us) and, if you sign up for the newsletter, your email address.

We don’t sell any of it, and we don’t share it with advertisers.

Nomination details are used to research and, where the nominee agrees, publish a profile. We contact nominators only when we have a question about the nomination, and only if you told us that was okay.

Email addresses collected through the newsletter are used to send occasional new stories. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.

We never publish a profile without talking to the person first. Nominees review their story, quotes, and photography before anything goes live, and they can ask us to stop at any point.

If a published profile needs to be corrected or removed later, write to us and we’ll take care of it.

Form submissions are handled by Netlify Forms and stored in this site’s Netlify project. Photography on the site is served by third-party image hosts, which may log standard request information such as IP address and browser type.

We don’t run advertising trackers or third-party analytics profiling on this site.
